Senior pictures for guys do not need to be complicated, overly posed, or turn into something your son is counting the minutes until he can escape.
For Ryan, a senior at West Middlesex High School, the goal was to create senior pictures that looked polished while still feeling relaxed and natural to him.
We photographed his senior session at The Birdwatchers Store, Presque Isle and the City of Erie, using his love of birds, nature, band and books to create a mix of portraits that gave us plenty of variety while having fun.
And if you are currently searching for a senior photographer for your West Middlesex senior, this is exactly the kind of session I love creating.
One thing I hear from moms of senior boys all the time is:
“He doesn't really care about senior pictures.”
Usually, it means he doesn't want to spend hours planning outfits, scrolling Pinterest, or doing photographs that feel completely unlike him.
He still wants to look good.
And Mom still wants photographs that capture him before senior year disappears.
Those two things can absolutely coexist.
That is one of the things I love about photographing seniors from West Middlesex, Mercer, Grove City, Hermitage, Sharon and throughout Mercer County. Every senior is different to work with, so I don't want every gallery to look like the same session with a different face dropped into it.
